Bingo is a card game that is typically played mostly by women but men are and do also play the game. The game bingo can vary as there are many types, most share the same concept and that is to have a card with numbers on, a person then yellows out numbers and then you cross that number on your card if you have it. When you have crossed of all the numbers you then yell “Bingo” The first person to do this wins the game.
Bingo Balls – The person who calls the numbers does not randomly just shout them out, they have a machine of some sort that picks these numbers at random, mostly on balls. Most bingo games can be categorized into two types of game, 75 ball bingo and 90 ball bingo. As you can guess that corresponds to the amount of balls that the machine has. When a bingo number is call, usually a little liner is said with it. Such as: “Up to tricks, 46” and “Top of the shop, 90” These just make the game more fun and regular bingo players can tell which numbers are called with just the first part of the saying.
90 Ball Bingo – This game usually last longer that 75 bingo and there are 3 parts to the game, 1 line, 2 line and full house. If you are the first person to get all the numbers on one line you win the first part, if you get all the numbers on two lines you win the second part and if you cross all of your numbers out you have won the full house.
75 Ball Bingo – This game is usually quicker and consists of just one part, your bingo card has a pattern on it and you have to cross the numbers on top of that pattern to win. Unlike 90 Ball Bingo where 3 people can win, only one person is able to win, unless more that one person shouts “bingo” if this is the case then the winnings is split between everyone who shouts.
